Streaming Service For Louis Anthony Maleski

Lou passed away at the age of 85 surrounded by his family. Born in 1940 to Ethel and Louis Joseph Maleski, Lou and his four siblings were raised in Harrisburg, PA and then Denville, New Jersey. He graduated from Morris Hills High School. Upon graduation, Lou joined the United States Air Force and worked as a Digital Data Processing Repairman at Kessler Air Force Base and Tyndall Air Force Base where he was awarded a Good Conduct Medal. Lou then went on to continue his studies at the University of Florida and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance. In 1964, Lou married Miss Patricia Ann Young which started a partnership that lasted 59 years until Pat passed away suddenly in 2023.

Together, Lou and Pat raised their two children, Lisa and Keith, in Marlborough, MA and then in Treasure Island, FL. Family time was spent swimming in the pool and boating. Lou enjoyed playing tennis with his friends and programming his TRS-80 home computer. He worked as a Computer Systems Specialist, Manager of Information Systems, and Director of Systems Development at Florida Power Corporation. He retired as a Vice President of Information Technology at Call Solutions. Along the way, he earned a Master of Science degree at the University of South Florida and even taught programming classes in the evenings at USF. He really enjoyed his time as Professor Maleski. Lou was also a musician and played several instruments. He sang in the church choir for 40 years and even got to sing for Pope John Paul II. After retirement, Lou and Pat began to travel in earnest by participating in Tauck Tours which allowed them to explore our country, Canada and most of Europe. Lou loved playing tennis

and golf and having lunch with friends at the American Legion club. He was a beloved son and brother who always supported his family and went out of his way for them which meant a lot. Lou most loved spending time with his grandchildren, JD and Laurel, and enjoyed watching cartoons with them and watching them grow up. Lou’s family and friends will miss him dearly, but he will live in our hearts forever.

Donations in-lieu of flowers can be made in Lou Maleski’s name to the Cultural Council of Indian River County to support the WWII Tribute.

A funeral mass for Louis will be held Thursday, May 22, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at St. Helen’s Catholic Church Location at, 2000 20th St, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
