Sandra “Sandy” Mary Beranek, 83, died peacefully at her home in Port St. Lucie, Florida in the loving arms of her family.
Born on May 21, 1942, in Springfield, Massachusetts she was the daughter of the late James Francis Coleman Keeley and Agnes Watt Patterson.
Sandra was a graduate of the High School of Commerce, in Springfield, Massachusetts. After graduating from high school, Sandy worked for many years at the Metropolitan Insurance Company.
In 1960, Sandy married William Joseph Muller. Together they had four children, Mark Gregory Muller (deceased), Stephen William Muller of Miami, Florida, Julie Catherine Infante (Ricardo) of Stuart, Florida, and Diane Marie Bugbee (Douglas) of South Burlington, Vermont. She had three grandchildren, William, Noah, and Oliver Bugbee and two step-grandchildren, Francia and Richard Infante.
Sandy married Ronald Beranek in 1980, her soulmate for forty-four years. After many years together in Vermont, they retired to Florida in 2004, where they were active members of their retirement community. They went to dances, continued their love of league bowling, and played card games with family and friends.
Sandy will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her laughter and sparkling blue eyes brought sunshine into any room. Sandy loved her family more than anything and holidays meant everything to her. She was devoted to her husband and children and watching them thrive, and she was the best support to them when they struggled. One of Sandy’s greatest joys was being able to take care of her grandchildren as infants when her daughter returned to work. They will forever remember the special connection they had with their “Grammy.”
Sandy is survived by her husband Ronald, three children, three grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her eldest son Mark and her six siblings, Margaret, Frances, Elaine, Kathleen, Rosemary, and David.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Sandy’s life on Sunday, June 22, from 2 to 2:30 at Aycock at Tradition, 12571 SW Tradition Parkway, Tradition, Florida 34987, where a reception will follow until 4:30. Interment will be at Rolling Oaks Cemetery, 2200 SW Del Rio Blvd, Port St. Lucie, Florida 34953.
